CityWorks is one of Queensland’s largest construction and maintenance organisations. We provide Council and external stakeholders with construction projects and solutions to improve Brisbane’s roads, water, drainage, bridges, signal and traffic lights.
We are seeking a highly experienced civil engineer/project manager to join our Minor Roads Team at Pine Mountain Quarry, Carina, working closely with Manager, Minor Roads. As 2IC, you will play a key part in providing leadership, technical support and a commercial focus to a range of Council employees and external stakeholders.
In this role, you would be required to provide leadership, mentoring and support to a team of over 130 technical, professional and operational staff engaged in the planning, coordinating and delivery of $40 million worth of projects annually for both Brisbane City Council and our external customers.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- extensive civil construction project management skills and experience with an ability to plan and coordinate projects to AS4000, AS2124 and Main Roads specifications
- demonstrated ability to direct, coach, support and empower both professional and operational staff
- demonstrated ability to achieve tight time frames, cost, quality and scope targets to meet and exceed business objectives.
