The Position
As the Senior Engineer you will be operating from within Mine Safety and Health and situated within the Safety in Mines Testing and Research Station. Working within a small team you will be assisting the Principal Engineer in testing activities of both national and international certification schemes for explosion protected equipment and assuring that testing processes and activities are in accordance with the program rules. You will also assist in research, investigation, operational planning, monitoring and assessment of competencies of personnel and providing technical and scientific advice to management, clients, staff, government agencies and other stake holders.

The Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold either a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree and possess a manual drivers licence. You will have a strong eye for detail with experience having worked in testing certification or compliance proving advantageous.
