AUTHORS INFORMATION
If you have a publication you feel is suitable for eGO then please read this page.
As part of Engineers Australia's electronic publishing program EA Books has developed eGo, in association with Engineers Australia, to host Engineers Australia and other related organisation's guidelines and expert commentaries on standards.
Guidelines and commentaries are usually small in pagination and are ideally suited for delivery over the Internet. Our aim is to offer members a comprehensive range of practical references, preferably in electronic format.
Here you will find all the information you need to submit your manuscript. What format it should be in, whom you should send it to and what happens once we receive it.
Engineers Australia, endorses all guidelines and expert commentaries on the eGo site except for publications from other learned societies or industry associations. When we receive your manuscript the first step is to send it to the appropriate unit of Engineers Australia to be reviewed and endorsed, unless, of course Engineers Australia itself has prepared the work.
Once Engineers Australia has endorsed the manuscript we will need to negotiate a publishing contract and agree on the format and the royalty. Royalties are negotiated book-by-book, starting at 10%.
SUBMITTING YOUR MANUSCRIPT
If you decide to submit your manuscript for review we would prefer to receive it as an MS Word document with the text set out in one column, and graphics embedded.
If you have submitted a manuscript and we have come to an agreement to publish you will find the author guidelines useful.
These guidelines are short documents on how to prepare the final draft of your manuscript for publication in electronic (PDF) or print format.
